This Shipping and Delivery Policy applies to all products, equipment, systems, and installation services supplied by LifeBridge MedTech Pvt Ltd. Due to the specialized and often heavy-equipment nature of medical devices and hospital infrastructure, delivery timelines, freight arrangements, and installation requirements may differ significantly from standard e-commerce norms. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.
Order to Delivery Process
LifeBridge MedTech follows a structured order-to-delivery process to ensure that medical equipment and hospital systems are delivered safely, on time, and correctly installed.
Delivery Timelines
Delivery timelines are estimates from the date of confirmed purchase order and advance payment receipt. Actual timelines depend on product type, stock availability, import requirements, and site conditions.

Freight & Delivery Costs
Freight and delivery charges depend on the nature of the product, delivery destination, weight, volume, and mode of transport required.
- Freight Inclusions: Some quotations include freight to the delivery address. Where freight is included, it will be expressly stated in the quotation. All other quotations are Ex-Works (EXW) or For-Delivery (FD) Mumbai, unless otherwise specified.
- Freight Add-ons: Remote locations, difficult access sites, multi-floor delivery without elevator, or special handling (e.g., cranes for heavy equipment) may attract additional charges confirmed in advance.
- Insurance: Freight insurance for medical equipment is strongly recommended and may be included or offered as an add-on in the quotation. Risk details are outlined in Section 06.
- Express Delivery: Urgent delivery arrangements can be made at additional cost, subject to logistics availability and product readiness.
- GST on Freight: Applicable GST will be levied on freight charges as per prevailing government regulations.
Site Readiness Requirements
For equipment requiring installation or large-scale delivery, the customer is responsible for ensuring the site meets all pre-delivery requirements before the scheduled delivery date.
- Civil Work Completion: Walls, flooring, doors, and structural elements relevant to the installation area must be complete before delivery is scheduled.
- Electrical Readiness: Required power supply (voltage, phase, earthing, and circuit breakers as specified) must be in place for ICU, OT, and MGPS installations.
- Access & Clearance: Adequate doorway clearance, pathways, lifts, or ramp access must be available for delivery of large equipment such as hospital beds, OT tables, or laundry machines.
- Plumbing & Utilities: Water supply, drainage, and gas lines where applicable must be completed prior to installation of laundry, dialysis, or STP systems.
- Authorized Personnel: A qualified representative of the hospital or institution must be available on-site throughout the installation period.
Installation & Commissioning
Where installation and commissioning services are included in the scope of supply, the following terms apply:
- Installation will be performed by LifeBridge MedTech-trained engineers or authorized technical partners with relevant biomedical/engineering qualifications.
- The customer must provide safe working conditions, adequate lighting, and necessary access to all installation areas throughout the commissioning period.
- Post-installation, all systems will be calibrated, tested, and validated against manufacturer specifications before handover.
- User Training: Basic operation and safety training will be provided to designated hospital staff as part of commissioning. Advanced or refresher training can be arranged separately.
- A Commissioning Report and handover documentation (including test results, calibration certificates, and warranty documents) will be provided upon completion.
- For NABH-related installations, LifeBridge MedTech will provide necessary compliance documentation and can support the accreditation process upon request.
Risk & Title
- Risk Transfer: Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery of goods to the agreed delivery address and acknowledgment of receipt by an authorized representative.
- Title Transfer: Legal title to goods passes to the customer only upon receipt of full payment in cleared funds. LifeBridge MedTech retains title until payment is complete.
- Freight Insurance: Customers are advised to ensure adequate transit insurance coverage. LifeBridge MedTech can arrange freight insurance on request; associated costs will be included in the quotation or invoiced separately.
- Where LifeBridge MedTech arranges freight, any transit damage claims will be supported with documentation to facilitate customer's insurance proceedings.
Damaged, Defective & Missing Goods
- Claims for transit damage reported after 48 hours from delivery may not be accepted unless there is evidence that the damage was concealed and not visible upon receipt.
- Reporting Process: Submit damage claims to support@lifebridgemedtech.com with photographs, delivery receipt notes, invoice reference, and a written description of the damage.
- LifeBridge MedTech will investigate and respond to damage claims within 5 business days. Remedies may include replacement, repair, or credit at LifeBridge MedTech's discretion.
- Do not attempt to use, install, or modify damaged equipment before LifeBridge MedTech has assessed and confirmed the appropriate course of action.
- Missing or short deliveries must be reported within 24 hours of receipt. LifeBridge MedTech will verify against dispatch records and arrange delivery of missing items promptly.
Delays & Force Majeure
LifeBridge MedTech is committed to meeting agreed delivery timelines. However, certain events beyond our reasonable control may cause delays.
- Force Majeure Events include natural disasters, pandemics, port strikes, shipping line disruptions, regulatory holds, government embargoes, power outages, civil unrest, or any other unforeseeable event that materially impacts supply or logistics.
- In the event of an anticipated delay, LifeBridge MedTech will notify the customer promptly with a revised estimated delivery timeline.
- Delays caused by the customer's failure to complete site readiness, provide required information, or make milestone payments on time shall not constitute a breach by LifeBridge MedTech.
- LifeBridge MedTech shall not be liable for indirect losses or consequential damages arising from delivery delays, whether or not within our control.
Imported & International Equipment
A significant portion of LifeBridge MedTech's product portfolio comprises internationally sourced medical equipment from leading global manufacturers. The following additional terms apply to imported products:
- Import Timelines: Imported equipment is subject to international shipping transit times, port clearance, customs examination, and CDSCO/BIS regulatory approvals. These timelines are independent of LifeBridge MedTech's control and may vary.
- Customs Duties & Taxes: All applicable import duties, customs clearing charges, port handling fees, and any anti-dumping or safeguard duties are either included in the quotation or passed through at actuals, as stated in the formal quotation.
- Exchange Rate Fluctuations: For equipment priced in foreign currencies, the final INR amount at invoicing may reflect prevailing exchange rates at the time of purchase order confirmation. This will be clearly stated in the quotation.
- Regulatory Clearances: Certain medical devices require CDSCO import registration or licensing. LifeBridge MedTech will manage and facilitate all necessary regulatory clearances as part of the sourcing process.
- International Shipments: LifeBridge MedTech can also ship to international destinations including UAE, Singapore, and other markets. International freight, duties, and local regulatory requirements will be confirmed separately for each project.
Returns & Order Cancellations
Due to the specialized, regulated, and often custom nature of medical equipment and hospital infrastructure, returns and cancellations are subject to strict conditions.
- Pre-Dispatch Cancellations: Orders cancelled before dispatch may be subject to cancellation charges covering procurement, storage, and administrative costs. Custom-ordered or imported items may not be cancellable once procurement has commenced.
- Post-Delivery Returns: Returns are only accepted for products that are defective, incorrectly supplied (against the confirmed purchase order), or damaged in transit. Returns due to change of mind, incorrect self-specification, or operational preference are not accepted.
- Return Authorization: All returns must be pre-authorized by LifeBridge MedTech in writing. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted and may be returned to the sender at their cost.
- Condition of Returns: Products must be returned in original, unused condition with all original packaging, accessories, documentation, and seals intact.
